Discover the Impact of Delicious Ugandan Coffee
We have five different products based upon three different coffee varieties which all have unique flavor profiles. If you like chocolate tones or fruity notes, we have something to meet your desires. A couple of our coffees are naturally processed which further enhances flavor a quality. In other words, extreme care is taken to ensure that all our coffees are the highest quality possible.
Uganda is known as the birthplace of the robusta coffee bean. Farmers in Uganda do not have massive farms. In fact, the average farmer only has 1 or 2 acres of land where they live, grow food and their coffees. Due to this, coffee has a cultural and historical context in Uganda. It's a way of life for these farmers, and can often be their main source of income.
Speaking of income, we are very selective in where our coffee originates. We like to ensure that focus is placed on growing methods, farm management, farmer compensation, and sustainability. Often, it is the revenue from coffee that allows communities to prosper and uplifts the capabilities available to their residents.
Finally, we are catching on to something others have known for years. Uganda has fine coffee! Currently, coffee imports from Uganda headed to the United States are growing. Germany, Italy, Belgium and Spain represent roughly 75% of Uganda's coffee exports. Pneuma Java intends to help bring more of this fantastic country's coffee to as many people as we can.
In the end, this is about more than excellent coffee. It's about what we can do with the profits from the sale of this coffee. Our profits are returned to Uganda to allow us to help single mothers, coffee farmers, communities and other projects to help. Every bag you purchase allows us to do even more. Thank you!
